Revised Reporting Solution

  • PROMIS 4 Reports generate in the background, providing users the ability to continue working in the application while the report generates.

Classic Features moved to PROMIS 4

Glomerulonephritis Oral Immunosuppression Drug Application (GN Oral IS App) and Status Report

  • Module has moved from Classic to PROMIS 4 > Assessment > GN Oral IS App
  • List of patients who are due for application can be found via Main Menu Bar > Reports > GN Oral IS App Status. 

Patient Infectious Status / Immunization History

  • Module has moved from Classic to PROMIS 4 > Patient Orders/Results > Infectious Status/Immunizations. 
  • List of vaccines which a patient did not receive can be found in Main Menu Bar > Reports > Worklist Reports > Immunizations. 
  • Snapshot of recent serology results, which are relevant for transplant users, are visible from patient chart. Overview in PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Infectious Status Immunization widget

Recipient Immunology & Histotrac Enhancements

  • Module (in read-only form) has moved from Classic to PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Transplant > Recipient Immunology.   
  • Updates include:   
    • CC CPRA value field (Cumulative-Combined CPRA, formerly labeled as BC PRA field), o     BC CPRA and CBS CPRA values display with 2 decimal points in Recipient Immunology

Form, Immunology Report, and BC Provincial Waitlist,  o            Antigens in AB Specificities section naming matches VGH Immunology Lab and CTR naming “Unacceptable DQ Alpha/Beta Combinations” on Recipient Immunology Form,

HLA Laboratory Requisition Form

  • Module has moved from Classic to PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Reports > HLA Laboratory Requisition Form and can additionally be accessed from Classic > Transplant > Kidney Referral Form > Labs/Virology > link to PROMIS 4
    • Requisition forms can be generated for a Worklist of patients at one time from PROMIS 4 > Main Menu Bar > Reports > HLA Laboratory Requisition Form

PROMIS Authorizers’ User Access Review (formerly Bi-Annual Review email submission)

  • Module is accessible for authorizers who can submit a user access audit from PROMIS 4 > Maintenance Menu > User Access Review

Improvements 

Labs Modules (Labs, Flowsheet, Graphs, Labs Graph widget in Patient Overview, Lab List Builder)

PROMIS 4 > Patient Chart > Orders/Results > Labs Module and PROMIS 4 > Maintenance > Lab List Builder:  

  • Performance enhancements when saving lab records.
  • Multiple lab results received within the same day are combined into a single cell; duplicate results received the same day will display once.
  • “Lab Test List” populates if selected before adding a laboratory.
  • Correct start date displays after changing date range parameters.
  • Values flagged in the Abnormal field are highlighted red in Lab Visit Summary and Lab Flowsheet (abnormal result can be flagged with “A”, “L , “H”, “Low”, “High”, “Above”, “Below”, “Criti”;  highlight is not dependent on suggested reference ranges). Values with normal (“N”) flag are not highlighted.
  • Results Categories display horizontally.
  • Flowsheet can be generated for multiple patients at once including with “Provincial” or “My Lists”.
  • Flowsheet includes Calc. Creatinine Clear, Calc. GFR, Urea Pre, Urea Post, PRU, Kt/V, Dialyzer, and K+ (dialysate).
  • Flowsheet includes BPU, Height, and Weight from Physical exam. Weight is also included from HD and PD Rx. 
  • Flowsheet “Other Tests” tool-tip displays the message “Physical Exam Results includes: BPU, Height, Weight; also includes Weight from HD and PD Rx”.

Physical Exam Results Tool-tip displays the message “Physical Exam Results includes: BPU, Height, Weight; also includes Weight from HD and PD Rx”.

  • Flowsheet “Lab Test Category” display’s correctly in Firefox.
  • “Date Range” is updated when switching between the “Labs Flowsheet” and “Labs Graph” tabs.
  • Tacrolimus can be selected in Labs Graph widget on Patient Overview.
  • Last 20 results within the last year are displayed in Labs Graph widget on Patient Overview.
  • “HDL, Serum” test displays once in Lab List Builder.
  • Selecting a list from an inactive user displays “This user is inactive, please subscribe to a different list” in Lab List Builder.
  • Labs and lab categories appear in alphabetical order. 
  • All collapsible sections in Lab Visit Details are expanded and visible by default.

Note: The highly used Lab Results Flowsheet remains active in Classic > Reports while users become familiar with navigating this report in PROMIS 4.  The Classic version will be retired with an upcoming release.  

Patient Monthly Results

PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Reports > Patient Monthly Results include: 

  • Removed Print options, o Added ‘None’ option to Medications, o My List drop down is hidden by default, o My List drop down displays below My List radio button when selected, o Province List drop down displays by default when Province List radio button is selected, o Removed “none” option from Labs radio button.
  • List of selected lab tests display correctly when switching between “My Lists” and “Province Lists” buttons.
  • Formatting of the Monthly Blood Work Report.
  • Selected tests update as expected when user selects their own lab list (formerly test defaulted to those in Monthly Flowsheet list).
  • Selected Tests on parameter page display by default.
  • Date range defaults to From: last year, To: current month.

Note:  The highly used Patient Monthly Report remains active in Classic >Reports while users become familiar with navigating this Report in PROMIS 4. Classic version alerts users “Please be aware, this form will be moved to PROMIS 4 in an upcoming release.”  

PD Antibiotics and Infection Report

PROMIS 4 > Reports > Centre Reports > PD Infection Reports: 

  • PD Antibiotic and Infection Report titles appear in a single line.
  • PD Infection report includes patients that are in a PD program but have not started dialysis.
  • Antibiotic Usage report includes patients that are in a PD program but have not started dialysis.
  • Culture Results report includes patients that are in a PD program but have not started dialysis.

Hospitalization report includes patients that are in a PD program but have not started dialysis.

COVID-19 Reports

PROMIS 4 > Reports > Centre Reports > Covid-19:

  • The option to run the report for ‘All’ dialysis centres.
  • The ‘From Date’ and ‘To Date’ fields are inclusive (example: From Date: May 1 and To Date: May 5 will return from May 1 to end of May 5).  
  • The summary page showing the number of dialysis runs and questionnaires will be available to all users, regardless of user’s management centre access.
  • Updates to COVID-19 Questionnaire/Dialysis Runs in Main Menu Bar > Reports > COVID19 Questionnaire/Dialysis Runs.
  • COVID-19 Screening Message displays “Data saved successfully” when change(s) saved to a patient record in Assessments > COVID-19 Screening. 
  • A report that helps quantify a number of unique patients, dialysis run and a number of symptomatic COVID assessment from all dialysis centres can be exported to Excel from Questionnaire/Dialysis Runs report.)
  • A report shows all updates for number of unique patients, dialysis run and a number of symptomatic COVID assessment from all dialysis centres or a selected centre Questionnaire/Dialysis Runs.

Patient Allergy Field

PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Patient Info > Demographics

  • Patient Allergy character limit increased to 2000 characters. 
  • [SUPPORT-9073] – Allergies not showing for patients.
  • [SUPPORT-1901] – Unable to add drug allergy/ Expand Drug Allergy.
  • [SUPPORT-5305] – Request to Increase Word Limit- Allergies.

Renal Facesheet

PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Reports [SUPPORT-9668] / [SUPPORT-8980] Improvements include:

  • Emergency contacts (all listed contacts),
  • Physical and mailing address, 
  • Phone and fax numbers for primary TX centre,
  • Fax number for the Family Physicians, Primary Nephrologist, Lab and Pharmacy,
  • Pharmacies (two) selected in Demographics,
  • Primary Centre for Renal status, 
  • Renal diagnosis (CKD or HD),

  • Location of Treatment for Renal status,

  • Module updates include: 
    • Supine BP results,
    • Most recent virology results,
    • Kidney and Liver Donor programs in the parameter list,

PHC (Cerner) CST Related Changes

  • Backend updates improve transfer of data from CST Cerner to PROMIS. 
    • St. Paul’s Hospital in-patient locations received from CST Cerner to Classic > Monitoring > Hospitalizations display Ward Names (ex: surgery, maternity, emergency, medicine, heart and lung etc) and Ward Type displays “G” (General). 
    • Allergies with Proposed, Active, and Resolved status are visible.
  • CST Heart Rhythm Device Report has been mapped to PROMIS Classic > Monitoring > Document History > Cardiac Reports (Heart Rhythm Device Report). 
  • HD Dialysis Actual Schedule (Classic >Scheduling > Dialysis > Actual Schedule) appointments include:
    • [PROMIS-37318] – Process of CST new HD and PD appointment types,
    • [PROMIS-37338] – Populate Renal Failure flag in new HD Dialysis Actual Schedule appointment,

Visual design improvements have been made to the Patient Panel and Case Report Summary (header and spacing etc.)

[SUPPORT-5290] Emergency Planning Module updated to include a ‘Select All’ button for the patient list. PROMIS 4 > Emergency Planning > Renal Patients List

Character limit increased to 80 characters for ‘Country of Birth’ field in PROMIS 4 > Patient Info > Demographics.

Users can view up to 100 items by default in PROMIS 4 > Patient Panel > Primary Diagnosis and Current Comorbidities and Classic > Monitoring> Medications > Current View.

Search autosuggestions appear in search fields across PROMIS 4 (fields with magnifying glass icon). 

[SUPPORT-9347] – The maximum number of cycles in PD Prescription will be increased to 30 in PROMIS 4 > Home > Select patient record > Renal > PD Prescription > Add a Prescription. 

North Island Hospital has been added to the Donor facilities list across PROMIS 4 and Classic. 

[SUPPORT-6044] – North Island Hospital in Comox Valley added to the drop down choices for Cadaveric Donor Registration (LEGACY).

Resolved Issues

Labs: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Orders/Results > Labs Module

  • Layout of the time scales adjusted across the module.
  • Urine Osmolality result has been added.
  • Warning message updated to indicate if test was not selected in the graph.
  • “PROMIS System Error” when adding a lab and selecting date range in the Labs Flowsheet.
  • Visit Date Time appears as “MM-DD-YYYY”.
  • Lab Graph fields reworded to “Lab Test 1” and “Lab Test 2”. 
  • “Content of this page failed to load…” message no longer appears. 
  • [SUPPORT-5248] – Urine Sodium 24H in PROMIS is mapping and correctly displaying labs.
  • [SUPPORT-5719] – BKV and PCR results autoload (resolved February 2020).
  • [SUPPORT-8938] – CMV result have been added (resolved January 2020).
  • [SUPPORT-8281] – The lab flowsheet creatinine and tacrolimus levels can be graphed together. 

Patient Information: PROMIS 4 > Patient Info

  • Demographics: the code for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador is now NL.
  • Demographics: contacts top notes field renamed “Contact Notes” (formerly “General Notes”).
  • Program Registration: a patient with a current enrollment in a Cardiac Rehabilitation and Transplant: Heart program can be enrolled in a Transplant: Kidney program.
  • Program Registration: diagnosis type is displayed correctly next to the label “Type” when deleting a diagnosis.
  • Program Registration: duplicate diagnosis warning message. 
  • Program Details: message does not appears when a transplant physician is updated. 
  • [PROMIS-37290] – Care Providers: text and search parameters adjusted for consistency.
  • [PROMIS-37107] –  Demographics displays one primary renal diagnosis.  
  • [PROMIS-37133] – Demographics: cursor appears when hovering over dropdown lists (formerly hand icon). 
  • [PROMIS-37157] – Program Registration: new program’s start date cannot be prior to a previous program’s end date if the programs are the same type (example: program type renal, PRA and OR programs cannot overlap). 

TB Services: PROMIS 4> Main Menu Bar > Reports> TB Services

  • TB Services:
    • A warning no longer appears when attempting to upload a document in TB Services Recommendation.
    • A warning message no longer appears when generating Chest X-ray and IGRA requisitions for a single patient.
    • The comment field in TB Services is now displayed only once.
    • Updated the formatting of the Cancel and Save buttons in TB Services Recommendation.
    • The drop-down arrow in TB Services Recommendation can be selected.
  • TB Screening Questionnaire:
    • Modified the size of the field “Allergies” in TB Screening Questionnaire.
  • IGRA- Requisition: 
    • A warning message in IGRA-QFT Requisition no longer prevent users from opening a different page.
    • The “Ordering Physician” and “Management Centre” fields will not be cleared when selecting the Units field in IGRA-QFT Requisition.
    • [PROMIS-37121] – The label for the Management Centre search field has been changed from “Clinic” to “Centre”.
    • [PROMIS-37134] – IGRA-QFT Requisition: Auto Suggestion: Search results are correctly displayed in the Ordering Physician search field.
  • Chest X-ray Requisition:
    • The drop-downs in Chest X-Ray Requisition have been changed to a list of values.

Glumerulonephritis Flowsheet: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Reports > Glumerulonephritis Flowsheet

  • A warning message no longer appears when generating the Glomerulonephritis Flowsheet.
  • GN flowsheet report parameter page appears when a user selects a GN report for a patient from a worklist, then selects a different patient from the worklist.

PD: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Renal

  • Dialysis Access (PD)
    • [PROMIS-37142] – Adjusted the alignment of the fields on “Test Orders and Results”
    • Antibiotics field has been added to the infection case summary in Dialysis Access (PD).
    • Reworded the notification displayed in Dialysis Access (PD) when a referral is created with the status “Will not be created”.
    • A warning message no longer appears when updating PD Exit Values in Dialysis Access (PD).
    • Removed the duplicate warning message that is displayed when saving a postintervention catheter status in Dialysis Access (PD).
    • The referral date has been added to the warning message that is displayed when adding an incorrect procedure date in Dialysis Access (PD).
    • The process of adding a catheter flush has been improved in Dialysis Access (PD). o        Removed the second drop-down arrow in the “Add Infection” box in Dialysis Access (PD).
    • Warning message appears if 10th dialysate prescriptions is added. 
    • [SUPPORT-6838] – Completed Antibiotics appear in Infections Summary after Infection resolution in Dialysis Access (PD).
  • PD Infection Reports: PROMIS 4 > Reports > Centre Reports > PD Infection 
  • PD Assist: PROMIS 4 > Reports > Centre Reports > PD Assist
    • The date now automatically formatted in Waiting to Start Time Statistics.

Physical Examination: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Assessments > Physical Examination

  • [PROMIS-37113] – Clicking on the Physical Exam Summary table does not display a blank page when no physical exam records exist.
  • [PROMIS-37163] – The labels of BP (Upright), BP (Supine) and Failing graft are set so that they are consistent when in the “Add Physical Exam” and “Editing Physical Exam” forms and “Physical Exam Summary” pages.
  • The “Hospital Code” is included in the Visit Centre search results when adding a visit centre to a Physical Exam record.
  • The latest physical exam record is highlighted in the Physical Examination Summary page.
  • Visit Centre list of values are sorted in alphabetical order when performing a search for visit centres in the “Add Physical Exam” form.

COVID-19 Screening: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Assessments > COVID-19 Screening

  • [PROMIS-37353] – The term “COVID-19” is used in the COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire Summary page for consistency. 
  • [PROMIS-37358] – The word “Add” is used to replace “New” in the screen used to add a new COVID-19 screening questionnaire to make it consistent.
  • The values entered when adding a COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire are displayed in the same format on the COVID-19 Screening Summary page. 
  • When saving two COVID-19 screening records with the same time stamp, a message is displayed stating that both records cannot have the same time. 
  • When saving a COVID-19 screening questionnaire, the message “Data was saved successfully” is displayed.

Worklists: PROMIS 4 > Worklist Panel

  • [PROMIS-37124] – The “Load More Items” link is not displayed when all items of a worklist with less than ten patients are loaded.
  • Any changes to worklists done in Classic are directly replicated to PROMIS 4 without the need to log off and log back into PROMIS 4.
  • Patient names in a worklist are sorted in alphabetical order.
  • The patients in a worklist are refreshed when a new worklist is selected twice. Patient Worklists: PROMIS 4 > Maintenance > Patient Worklists 
  • [PROMIS-37201] – Worklists search results created to exclude patients that have never been on the drug Orencia are working correctly.
  • Previous search results are not displayed when a new search is carried out in the module.
  • No extra columns precede the column of patients’ names when search results are exported to Excel. 
  • Check-boxes are displayed next to patients’ names in a worklist search results allowing user to select and save patients.

Worklist Reports: PROMIS 4 > Main Menu Bar > Reports

  • Report parameters refresh when moving from one report type to another.
Complications: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Assessments > Complications

  • [PROMIS-37114] – The search results box for adding physicians in the “Add a follow-up” form is empty by default. 
  • Message updated to: “You already have a Follow-Up of this Note Type for this date and cannot add another one. You can either add your new information to the existing Follow-Up or choose a different date.”
  • The Follow-up “Delete Record” form text is centre aligned.
Medications: Classic > Monitoring > Medications

  • [PROMIS-37176] – ABIRATERONE ACETATE appears in Generic drug name search field.
  • [SUPPORT-6098] – Iron Gluconate (Ferrlecit) moved to “Medications To Be Administered During Dialysis” section of the Medication profile report.
  • [SUPPORT-8046] – The header on the Rx Report appears once on each page. 

Medication Reconciliation: Classic > Monitoring > Medication Reconciliation 

  • “Pharmacy Technician” spelling corrected.

Transplant Flowsheet Report: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Reports > Transplant Flowsheet

  • [SUPPORT-7980] – Transplant Flowsheet displays the patient’s address accurately. 
  • [PROMIS-37283] – Transplant Flowsheet shows the patient’s contact information once. Transplant Referral Form: Classic > Transplant > Referral Form 
  • The Kidney Transplant Referral Form report can be generated from the Absolute Contraindications tab of the Kidney Referral Form correctly.
  • The Kidney Transplant Referral Form report can be generated from the Demographics tab correctly. 

Transplant Donor: Classic > Transplant > Donor 

  • [SUPPORT-8294/SUPPORT-8295] – Serology is required for patients younger than 18 months. A message stating “Please enter the Mother’s serology results” no longer appears on Donor Registration screen for patient’s over 18 months.

Other Resolved Areas:

Patient Registration: PROMIS 4 > Register patient > Patient Registration 

All fields stay enabled when Alternate Insurer drop-down is selected in Patient Registration screen.

Emergency Planning:  PROMIS 4 > Emergency Planning 

[PROMIS-37162] – After generating the Facility Report for a management centre, no message displays when moving to another tab.

ESAS: PROMIS 4 > Patient Overview > Assessments > ESAS 

An assessment for a symptom that is not specified cannot be saved in the ESAS module.

[SUPPORT-8586] – ‘Pharmacy Technician’ label corrected on LOV list. PROMIS4> Providers Table and Classic > Medication Reconciliation Form

Invalid parameters trigger a warning message in PROMIS 4 > Main Navigation Bar > Worklist Panel > Expand. 

A vertical scroll-bar is visible to allow scrolling in Centre Reports.

A new password set when the user is informed about an upcoming password expiry, will not lock the user’s account.
